Merlot is all you need.

Our world has enough noise. Enough division. Enough people confusing cruelty with strength and cynicism with intelligence. All You Need was built as the counterpoint. The label lives in the visual world of walls that never stayed blank for long — protest posters, graffiti, Lennon lyrics, messages written back into public view because some ideas are too necessary to disappear. Love. Freedom. Equality. Hope. Not as decoration, but as declaration. That is the heart of this bottle. Not nostalgia for the past, but allegiance to a kind of energy we could use a lot more of now. A belief that optimism can still have teeth. That beauty can still carry conviction. That the best response to a broken moment is not to shrink. It is to dream bigger, speak clearer, and put your values where people can see them.

All You Need | 2023 Merlot - Calistoga AVA - Half Full Wine Co.
  • Merlot = Love

That is the slip, and the whole point. The title plays off a line everybody knows, then swaps in Merlot without really replacing the original. Love is still there. So is the idea that wine can do some of the same work when the room needs it most.
  • Put a man on the moon.

From that far out, most of the noise down here looks pretty small. The outrage. The grudges. The 24-hour news cycle. Sometimes all it takes is pulling a cork, pressing play, and zooming out far enough to remember most problems do not amount to a hill of beans.
  • Truth Can’t Be Silenced

The label pulls from protest walls, Lennon lyrics, and New York graffiti culture. Paint over it. Write it back. Message over message. The human refusal to disappear quietly. Hope, freedom, equality — the kind of message that keeps coming back.
  • Set It Straight

“If anyone orders Merlot, I’m leaving. I am NOT drinking any fucking Merlot.” Culture treated that line like gospel. Never mind the irony that Miles later drinks a 1961 Cheval Blanc that is heavily Merlot-based. This bottle takes the better side of the argument: less dismissal, less division, better instincts.
  • Prime Location

This only works if the wine earns it. This vineyard sits in one of Calistoga’s most sought-after stretches, surrounded by sites that built the region’s reputation. Not flashy. Not overplayed. Just a place with age, character, and the kind of quiet authority that makes the case on its own. It stayed Merlot when it easily could have chased the trends. We’re glad it did.
  • Imagine Better

That is the deeper point of the bottle. Less division. More connection. Pull the cork, drop the needle, and give the room a reason to loosen up and actually talk.
