Dream Big, Drink Bold: Our First Release
Look, we get it – the wine world can take itself pretty seriously. But we believe great wine should spark joy, start conversations, and maybe even break a few rules along the way. That's exactly what we set out to do with our first release: Dream Machine Grenache Rosé and Fountain of Youth Albariño. Both just picked up Silver Medals at the 2025 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition (yeah, we're pretty stoked about that), but what really matters is what happens when you pull the cork.
Dream Machine Grenache Rosé: Not Your Average Pink Drink
Let's talk about that color first – because yeah, it's going to turn heads. Dream Machine rocks this amazing vibrant orange hue that basically glows in the glass. It's what happens when you throw the rosé rulebook out the window and let the grapes do their thing with some extended skin contact. Think of it as your favorite retro sneakers in wine form – bold, fun, and absolutely impossible to ignore.
We source these Grenache grapes from the organically-farmed WTF Vineyard in Amador County's Sierra Foothills. Why there? Because that magical combo of granite-rich soils, warm sunny days, and cool mountain nights lets the grapes develop incredible flavor while keeping their natural freshness. Our winemaking? It's all about balance – just enough skin contact for that killer color and texture, a touch of partial malolactic fermentation for smoothness, but never losing that crisp, refreshing vibe that makes you want another sip.
Take a sniff and you'll get hit with fresh blood orange, candied citrus peel, and apricot. Take a sip and... well, remember that first bite of a Creamsicle on a hot summer day? It's kind of like that, but with a sophisticated twist. There's this subtle rose petal thing happening too – not your grandma's perfume, but fresh flowers on a warm afternoon. We only made 48 cases, because sometimes the best things come in small batches.
Fountain of Youth Albariño: For the Dreamer, Doers, and Forever Young
Remember Calvin and Hobbes? That comic strip captured something we're all chasing – that pure joy, that sense of endless possibility and curiosity. That's what inspired our Fountain of Youth Albariño. It's our California spin on a Spanish classic, grown in the cool Clarksburg delta where the maritime breezes and rich clay-loam soils give us grapes with amazing natural flavor and brightness.
This wine is all about precision and purity – organic farming, single vineyard fruit picked at just the right moment, and fermentation in stainless steel to keep everything fresh and vibrant. Crack open a bottle and you'll get green apple and lemon zest jumping out of the glass, followed by a hint of juicy nectarine, and just when you think itʼs done, a subtle, salty breeze reminds you this wine is here to refresh and impress without taking itself too seriously. It's youthful exuberance captured in liquid form, and at 96 cases, it's just as limited as its dreamy companion.

You can find these wines exclusively on our website (halffullwine.co) and at some of our favorite restaurants and shops. Each bottle is an invitation to slow down, gather your favorite people, and create those "remember when" stories we all live for.
Here's our suggestion: pull the cork, pour a glass, give it a little sniffy sniff, swirl it around (or don't – we're not the wine police), and savor whatever moment you're in. No pressure, all love. After all, wine is just fermented grape juice – albeit really, really good fermented grape juice that we put our hearts into making. So grab a glass, gather your people, and let's make some memories.
Because in a world that could use more joy, sometimes all it takes is seeing the glass half full.
